28th June 2013

With the world's best players complaining about conditions at Wimbledon, we wonder what they'd make of these outrageous tennis courts

1. Table Mountain, Cape Town, South Africa

Anyone for Table (Mountain) tennis?

Floating court, Doha

2. ATP promotional floating court, Doha, Qatar

And they reckon the courts at Wimbledon are slippery.

Garage Tennis, Paris

3. Garage Tennis, Rue Saint-Jacques, Paris, France

Keep an eye out for the oil patches.

Atacam Desert

4. Humberstone, Atacama Desert, Chile

Humberstone has been a ghost town since 1958 so booking a court is never a problem.

5. Koro Sun Resort and Rainforest Spa, Vanau Levu, Fiji

It's the coconuts that make this court so difficult to play.

6. Burj-al-Arab-Hotel, Dubai

The heliport attaches to Dubai's most iconic hotel was temporarily converted into a tennis court for an exhibition match between Andre Agassi and Roger Federer. They lost a lot of balls.
