Some great suggestions, but traffic is heavy and in particular, the suggestions for the afternoon are ambitious. From Petionville to Croix Des Bouquets is a good hour's drive even without jams. I wouldn't advise staying near the airport as you'd be we'll away from any sights. Instead, on a budget stay at La Perroquet in Petionville, much closer to some action. If you're visiting PAP at the beginning and end of your trip choose to stay in the city centre at one end and Petionville at the other in order to minimise time spent in traffic. The city centre is the more convenient of the two for tap taps and or minibuses to Jacmel. Finally, don't miss the PAP cemetery for a fascinating walk.
