The Wanderlust World Guide Awards
Who is the one person who can make or break your trip?
The person who can inspire you to climb one more hill, who can get you excited about dung beetles, who can ignite your interest in ancient history?
Who ensures your safety, who helps a group gel, and who most of all guarantees an unforgettable experience?
The Wanderlust World Guide Awards (formerly the Paul Morrison Guide Awards) celebrate the achievements of the world’s best guides and tour leaders. It is the only global award recognising the guide and tour leader community. Each year the top three guides are awarded a Paul Morrison bursary to be spent on community projects, further education or overseas travel.
"When Paul Morrison – co-founder of Wanderlust and my husband – died in December 2004, I wanted to set up something in his name that would benefit others. Paul was passionate about the importance of guides and tour leaders and felt they were the unsung heroes of the travel industry. It seemed incredible that there wasn’t already a global award that acknowledged their exceptional talents." - Lyn Hughes, Wanderlust founder/editor-in-chief
